The Auteur: A Hunt for Bump in the Dark

A hate letter to bad men.

Filmmaker Josh Stevens has rented a cabin just outside Last Pine to research and work on his new project, a television series called Nightbreak Wardens. Stevens mostly keeps to himself, but some townspeople have complained of rudeness and asocial behavior from the writer/director. No doubt coincidentally, people have started going missing.

I'm sure it's fine and not at all related. 

In this scenario for Bump in the Dark, the hunters will try to face off against a man who is doing bad, bad things in their community -- a man who is used to doing bad things with total impunity, insulated by his celebrity. Will the pact catch Stevens and put an end to his monstrous behavior, or are they doomed to always be one step behind and one clue short?
