As many of you are aware, in June we'll be crowdfunding anew, revised edition of the game featuring newly commissioned original art, updated rules and downtime system, additional guidance for running the game, and expanded information on more than 25 factions to help you bring Iron Country to life, all wrapped up in a gorgeous, premium hardcover!

Now, you may be wondering: "I already own the game; will I need to buy it again?"

The short answer is no. When the digital version of the game is released, everyone who has purchased it on itch will automatically get the new, revised edition PDF. However, we are really working to make the new hardcover edition of the game worth your while as something that will stand out on your shelf next to your other games. That means it'll be offset printed and smyth sewn with a bookmark ribbon, with the possibility of unlocking other features based on the success of the campaign. While were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Print on Demand version through DTRPG, we are really striving to make the new edition something special. We hope you'll follow along.

I don't have words for how much I appreciate the support of this community. When I started writing Bump it was kind of a lark, more of a thought experiment than anything I ever thought would end up in others' hands, let alone see any level of success. Why can't I purchase or download the game?

Currently we are gearing up for a crowdfunding campaign on Backerkit in the month of June. After the completion of the campaign, the game will again be available here in its Revised Edition. If you've purchased the game previously or as part of a bundle but haven't downloaded it yet, you will be able to download it again when digital fulfillment begins (shortly after the end of the the crowdfunding campaign).

So what is the Revised Edition?

Bump in the Dark: Revised Edition is a re-imagined and streamlined version of the game with updated rules to streamline play and provide support for GMs and players, a new approach to downtime, expanded information on more than 25 factions (including a brand new one that was not in the prior version of the book), guidance on changing the game including setting and pact type, expanded oracles and roll tables, and finally, newly commissioned art. What if I've already purchased the game digitally? Will I need to purchase it again when the Revised Edition releases?

Everyone who has purchased the game previously on either itch or DTRPG will automatically gain access to the revised edition PDF once it becomes available at no additional cost.

What if I already purchased the Print On Demand version on DTRPG?

We understand that asking you to pay for a book that you may have already purchased is a big ask. That's why we've been working hard to make this new revised hardcover edition worth it: high quality offset printing, 25+ pages of new content, more than twenty new pieces of original art, new reference materials, and a bookmark ribbon to help make the book more usable at the table. At the end of the day, it's up to you to decide whether that's worth a new purchase or not, but we believe in the improved quality and new content and hope that you'll join us.
